Title: A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION SUSPENDING THE DEADLINES FOR THE PURPOSE OF REQUESTING THE DRAFTING, INTRODUCTION, CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE OF A BILL ENTITLED "AN ACT TO AMEND SECTIONS 97-33-52, 97-33-57, 97-33-61, 97-33-69, 97-33-73, 97-33-75, 97-33-107 AND 97-33-109, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO AUTHORIZE CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS TO CONTRACT WITH A PERSON TO SUPERVISE THE CONDUCT OF BINGO GAMES IF THE BACKGROUND OF SUCH PERSON HAS BEEN INVESTIGATED AND APPROVED BY THE MISSISSIPPI GAMING COMMISSION; TO GIVE THE GAMING COMMISSION THE AUTHORITY TO ALLOW THE PROCEEDS OF BINGO GAMES TO BE USED TO PURCHASE, CONSTRUCT OR IMPROVE A BUILDING, HALL OR OTHER FACILITY FOR THE PURPOSE OF OPERATING A BINGO GAME; TO EXTEND THE PERIOD OF TIME FOR WHICH A BINGO LICENSE MAY BE EFFECTIVE; TO PROVIDE THAT JUDICIAL REVIEW OF FINAL DECISIONS OF THE GAMING COMMISSION FOR VIOLATIONS COMMITTED BY A CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION INDEPENDENT OF ITS BINGO OPERATIONS MAY BE OBTAINED IN THE CIRCUIT COURT OF THE COUNTY IN WHICH THE CHARITY IS DOMICILED; TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT PER SESSION THAT THE LICENSEE MAY PAY TO PERSONS INVOLVED IN THE CONDUCT OF BINGO GAMES AND TO PROVIDE THAT SUCH AMOUNT SHALL NOT APPLY TO COMPENSATION OF A SUPERVISOR UNDER CONTRACT WITH A CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION; TO CLARIFY THE GAMING COMMISSION'S AUTHORITY TO INVESTIGATE CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS INVOLVED IN BINGO OPERATIONS; TO PROVIDE THAT THE GAMING COMMISSION SHALL HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO ORDER THE IMMEDIATE CLOSURE OF BINGO OPERATIONS FOR CERTAIN VIOLATIONS OF THE CHARITABLE BINGO LAW; TO INCREASE THE PENALTY FOR CERTAIN VIOLATIONS OF THE CHARITABLE BINGO LAW; TO PROHIBIT THE USE OF A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF THE PROCEEDS OF BINGO OPERATIONS FOR PERSONAL GAIN; TO PROHIBIT THE USE OF THE PROCEEDS OF BINGO OPERATIONS TO INFLUENCE ELECTIONS, OR TO INFLUENCE GOVERNMENTAL DECISIONS; TO INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF THE FEES THAT THE GAMING COMMISSION MAY ASSESS FOR PULL-TABS, ELECTRONIC BINGO MACHINES AND ELECTRONIC PULL-TAB MACHINES; TO AUTHORIZE THE GAMING COMMISSION TO REQUIRE THE PARTICIPATION OF ALL BINGO EMPLOYEES AND THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS IN CERTAIN TRAINING PROGRAMS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES."
